Michelle Yu, the pastry chef and owner of Cakebox, used to work in the technology industry but always had a passion for making pastries, travelling and photography.

After much thought, she decided to leave a career in product management to pursue her passions. She attended the world-renowned culinary school Le Cordon Bleu in Tokyo. After completing the Advanced French Patisserie Program, she started baking in a private kitchen, refining her skills and nurturing her creativity. Now, with boundless enthusiasm, Michelle brings her delectable creations to the vibrant city of Vancouver to share her sweet delights with more people.
